How can I see samples of your work?

Call or e-mail with your name and address, and we’ll be happy to mail you a demo DVD of an entire wedding video we’ve completed. Some videographers will send you “highlights” from various weddings or portions of a single wedding. This gives them the option of showing you their best work while concealing their not-so-great work. We let you view an entire wedding video so you can get an accurate idea of the quality of our shooting and editing.

How long have you been in business?

Infinity Video Productions was established in 2002. Because timing is everything, it is critical to have a videographer who is familiar with the typical events and timing of a wedding day. After 4 years of producing memorable videos, we know what comes next so we can be in the right place at the right time. Often, brides without coordinators will ask us what comes next.

Do you have references?

Of course. Please call for a list of references.

Who will be videotaping my wedding?

Your videographer is Jennaca Tesch, owner of Infinity Video Productions. Jennaca (JEn-uh-kuh) has been creating memorable wedding videos for the past 3 years. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism and Communications from Utah State University where she learned the art of videography. As part of her degree curriculum, she produced many videos that aired in live news broadcasts. Jennaca has earned various awards for her video work. She also worked for International Sports Broadcasting, the host broadcasters for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Jennaca does videography part-time because she enjoys the artistic creativity of shooting and editing. Although she has produced many different types of videos, she prefers shooting weddings because they are always beautiful occasions about which she feels she can tell a story. She also enjoys the high-pressure shooting; there are no second takes on a wedding day.

Do you use professional quality supplies?

Having quality supplies is just as important as having professional equipment. For this reason, we choose to use Sony Mini DV tapes exclusively and professional DVDs such as Sony, JVC, or Maxell. You won’t find no-name brands here.

What type of video camera do you use?

Infinity Video Productions uses the Canon XL1S, which is a digital video camera designed for optimal shooting performance in any condition. It is one of the best in its class. The XL1S uses a 3 CCD system, which provides outstanding detail and extremely accurate color reproduction.

How many video cameras do you use?

All wedding packages include one manned camera. A second unmanned camera is available during the ceremony. Check with your videographer for details.

Do you use video lighting?

That is up to you! The use of additional lighting has its pros and cons; it can really enhance the look of your video by keeping colors vibrant and the picture clear during low-light situations, but it can also be a bit obtrusive and cause harsh shadows. Infinity Video Productions uses the Canon XL1s, a digital video camera that is designed to shoot quality video in low-light situations. Should you choose to use natural lighting, we can boost brightness and saturation of any dark video during the editing process. Although Infinity Video Productions uses a camera designed to shoot clear pictures in low light, extremely low light situations such as candlelight or dimmed lights for reception dancing may result in a slightly dark or grainy picture. Also, focusing may be more difficult, which could result in lost footage. For these situations, the use of a camera-mounted video light is optimal. Infinity Video Productions uses a VL-10Li video light that mounts directly onto the video camera. It is a 10-watt, battery-powered light that works well indoors and outdoors and really enhances the look of your video in dark environments. Please consult with your videographer to determine what choice will work best for you.

What type of video editing system do you use?

Many videographers just add editing software to their home computers. Not us. Infinity Video Productions uses a non-linear editing system called ScreenPlay. ScreenPlay isn’t software that’s installed on a PC. It is a stand-alone editing system that is designed with one purpose in mind – video editing. ScreenPlay offers high-quality digital picture with endless real-time editing features including titles, transitions, special effects, and color effects. These options allow us to create you a memorable video using the most up-to-date technology.

What does video editing include?

• Trimming and arranging of footage to create interest, emotion, and to tell a story. • Choreography of footage to the music of your choice. • Special effects such as slow motion, picture-in-picture, freeze frame, letterboxing, and film rate. • Titles and graphics. • Color correction and color effects such as black and white and sepia tone. • Audio correction and fine-tuning.

How much time will you spend editing my video?

This depends upon how much footage we have, which depends on how many hours of shooting we do. In general, the numbers in the below chart will apply at a minimum. This does not include the hours it takes to import and export your video or to design your DVD label and inserts, which is about 5-10 hours of additional post-production work. Hours of Coverage Hours of Editing 1 12-15 2 15-17 3 17-20 4 20-22 5 22-25 6 25-27 7 27-30 8 30-32 9 32-35 10 35-37 11+ 35-40+

Can I have my wedding on DVD?

Of course! A DVD will last 80 years while videotape lasts barely 25 years, so it is the obvious choice. But if you’re old school and would prefer a VHS, or perhaps you want a VHS copy for your grandparents who haven’t switched technologies yet, we’d be happy to accommodate this.

Can I choose the music used in my edited video?

We encourage it. You will be provided a Music Selection Form at the time you sign the contract. If you are having a hard time deciding on your music selections, check out www.infinitybyjennaca.com, where we have a long list of songs other brides and grooms have selected.

How long will I have to wait for my video?

Approximately 8 weeks. Production times will vary depending the length of the video and editing time involved. Weddings shot during the California wedding season (May through October) may take slightly longer than 8 weeks due to high volume. Talk to your videographer about your particular video.

If there is anything I don't like in the editing, can I have it changed?

Your wedding video is yours, and we want you to be completely happy with it. You may preview your edited video prior to finalization of your DVD(s). Talk to your videographer about this option and any additional charges that may apply. Corrections in material mistakes will be made at no cost; however, additional charges may apply to content changes that require extensive editing time. Once a video is finalized, no changes may be made, although additional copies may still be purchased.

How will my videographer be dressed at the wedding?

Your videographer will always be dressed appropriately for the occasion. Infinity Video Productions wouldn’t degrade your special ceremony by showing up in jeans and tennis shoes. We are professionally outfitted in slacks and dark or neutral colors so as to blend into the background. Attention should be focused on the bride and groom, not their vendors.

How much are additional copies of my wedding DVD?

$25 per DVD.

How long after my wedding can I purchase additional copies of my DVD?

We keep a copy of your wedding DVD on file for a minimum of 5 years from your wedding date. That way, if you lose your copy or you need an extra one for Mom or your future children, you can order additional copies at any time.

What type of deposit do you require to reserve the date?

A $150.00 retainer reserves your wedding date, and Infinity Video Productions will not take additional reservations for this date. For this reason, deposits are not refundable. If your wedding is cancelled or the date is changed, we will be happy to honor your deposit for a different wedding date (if it is available for booking) within one year from the original wedding date. If an alternate date is not selected or cannot be accommodated, the deposit will not be refunded. The $150.00 retainer reserves your wedding date only. Payment in full is due at least 7 days prior to the wedding date for services to be performed.
